Eh - I got what I wanted out of it. If I waited until now to buy, it would probably be another year until I actually got around to playing it. There's already a Dead Island 2 announced - I'll wait on the GotY edition of that game and save money.

This applies to pretty much ANY game released this-gen. I think it's because there's so much crap and it's all so similar that modern games don't have any staying power. And if they WOULD have staying power, the built-in obsolescence of annual sequels destroys it.It seems like every game except first-party Nintendo titles loses all its value after a year.

For anyone who bought this game when it first came out, you should have waited. Best Buy has the game of the year edition on sale for Black Friday for only $7.99!
