Synopsis: A now 16-year-old Link discovers he has the power to reverse an ancient spell that put the original Princess Zelda to sleep many years ago. Easily the black sheep of the Zelda family, this weird platforme/RPG hybrid was a much different take than the top-down look of the first. Luckily the series recovered and now this is just a curio - a reminder of how even the greatest series can misstep.

Zelda Done Wrong, But Still Fun

I see why they wanted to change up the Zelda formula...oh wait, no I don't. This was just a dumb idea. The dungeons weren't as fun. Adding spells instead of items like boomerangs was dumb. The 2D platformer, Mario, Zelda like view was dumb, too. Don't get me wrong, this was still a fun game and the fact Zelda programmers and designers only did this once made this ok. If this became the norm Zelda would not have lasted.
