Double the Women but Only About Half the Fun

Back in 2015 Ryan Koons, under the company name HuniePot, successfully crowd-funded the original HuniePop. It combined match-3 puzzles, dating sim and spicy content that was the rare adult game that actually had some mainstream success. It helped that not only was the game fully-voiced but it had an actual story and character development. Koons went on to make HunieCam Studio and followed that up with HuniePop 2 in 2021 - which follows much in the same animation style as the first game, along with some more advanced match-3 gameplay while still being fully-voiced. That being said, despite the years between releases, this sequel somehow feels like a step back.
