Although it can't top VI in my book, VII is still a great entry in the series and my #2 FF game. It's once again driven by memorable characters, a moving story and a strong soundtrack. It also represents a huge leap forward in game design. No, it's not the greatest game ever, not even the greatest FF, but it is an achievement.
