Prequel to the original game with flashy new graphics and lighting effects but weaker storyline and characters. The formula was starting to show its age by this point and it was overshadowed by the reinvigorated Resident Evil 4, but it's still an enjoyable old school frightfest and will appeal to fans of the franchise.
