"Elite: Dangerous"

To those who obsessively explored the vector-graphic galaxy in the 1980's, Elite: Dangerous is an exercise in pure nostagia and comes resplendent with the visuals that were left to the imagination back in the day. The sandbox-style gameplay echoes the original but in today's world it feels a little lacking in narrative momentum and the punishment for death or law-breaking is far too lenient making it feel a little too much like a constant exercise in level-grinding. But it's incredibly immersive if the idea of space tourism appeals to you.
