"Bioshock Infinite"

The Bioshock series takes to the skies, but there's something a lot less atmospheric about airships than a claustrophobic, Jules Verne-esque undersea realm. It's still a pretty game with an interesting story but once again the Achilles heel is the profoundly irritating "respawning" that goes on when you die, which essentially makes combat a tedious exercise in trial and error rather than skill; making enemies a nuisance rather than a threat completely undermines what an FPS is supposed to be all about. Good, but not great entirely for this reason.
