At the time, Virtua Fighter 2's comparatively detailed 3D graphics and wide selection of moves and combos were a revelation. But it was soon overwhelmed by Tekken's innovations on the PlayStation and the beat 'em up world moved on. It's still a playable fighting game but it's very limited in scope by today's standards.
