"Gran Turismo 3: A Spec"

The Gran Turismo games revolutionised the whole racing game genre, ultimately for the worse in my opinion. It's technically amazing, the graphics superb and the attention to detail extremely impressive. It also has a painfully convoluted menu system with horrible accompanying faux coffee table jazz elevator music, tediously bullies you into completing a series of "tests" before it'll let you play YOUR OWN GAME, and is so joylessly obsessive about "realism" that it's very little fun to play. Give me Burnout 3 every day of the week.
