Ditching the overhead level format of its predecessor and concentrating on frenetic side-scrolling blasting, Thunderforce III contains a varied and imaginative menagerie of enemies and impressive bosses complimented by a suitably explosive array of power ups. One of the best side scrolling shoot'em ups you can buy.
