Half Life 2 is second only to the Halo games in the FPS stakes and The Orange Box includes both that and the following two episodes, plus the rather unique first person puzzler Portal which is also a great game in its own right. Throw in multiplayer blaster Team Fortress 2 and you've got yourself a serious bargain.
