Beautiful looking and rather unique vertical shooter in that enemies and their fire are divided between black and white, one fatal and the other adding to your smart bomb gauge. Your ship can switch between the two at will to gain advantage and avoid "opposite" fire. It's a great idea that certainly keeps you on your toes but it does make for little variety: no power ups, no weapon swapping and the enemy fire is always the same. Because of this, I don't consider it amongst the true greats such as R-Type, Thunderforce IV and Gradius V, but it's certainly one of the better old school shooters old there.
