Perhaps the most disappointing Wii game yet

I am an amatuer music composer. I don't have the money to buy an expensive music composing program, so I've had to settle with the record maker on WarioWare DIY. To be honest, I've gotten more out of that single feature of WarioWare alone, that Wii Music. I wanted to be able to compose my own music with real sounding MIDI instruments for a low-ish price. Wii Music seemed like the answer.
And as I started playing the game, I was quite excited. The instruments sounded real, and it appeared that you could do jams with multiple people. There were a lot of neat ideas, and I was so excited. I couldn't wait to start composing my own music!
Then I discovered you can't.
I know, the case says that you get to compose your own music, but it's all a lie. What they meant to say was, you can change the instruments and timing of songs that Nintendo has already put on the game. So, none of your own music. Just modified, pre-existing music.
The game really isn't so bad, but it has nothing for me if you're not allowed to compose music. Great game for kids, but for me, I was crushed.
