I e-mailed you some multi-player games to consider. I think Dungeon Hunter and Dungeon Defender both look more like what you want than Dungeon Siege.
I can also bring Dokapon Kingdom (plus the save Chris and I started ages ago). It's a Wii game, but it is a multi-player RPG and it is pretty fun.

Dungeon Siege smells like a Diablo clone to me. It's the type of crappy loot-grind RPG that was designed for PC, yet has migrated to consoles because PC gaming sucks.
I can try to look into more local MP co-op games if you're interested.

Yeah... as the human attention span dwindles and more and more things start playing video games it's gonna get hard to draw that line in the sand of what counts as a video game.

Just a head's up: Don't panic if the PSN boxes don't appear in user profiles. Sony's website is currently under attack by Anonymous via DDOS.
