Oh, and I also think it supports the 360 controller on PC.

You'll be shocked to hear tbe PC DOES have local multiplayer. I can't remember the last time a game that wasn't turn-based had local mulltiplayer.
It is buggy as hell, though. Our first three play sessions were interrupted by the host's game freezing, knocking us all out of the game. All three of us tried hosting and it happened to each of us. It's gotten a little better since, so the patches must be working.

I remember playing this a bit when you brought it over to our place. It was pretty fun, at least the first few levels I saw. I don't think I'll jump at this one, but at least I know if I want my trophy whorage to improve, I can always borrow this one.

I correct myself - I'm guessing that head is like Navi in Zelda - "Hey Listen" - chop all these zombies in half and then get my body back! Or he's a nice zombie head that doesn't bite and still looks maaaaarvelous. It's bizarre and I love it.

My guess - decapitation that looks like a crazy floaty head guy... hey, if you're going to lose your head, at least he has a great view (well, if he turns around).

Great review as alwasy but they're actually localizing Xenoblade Chronicles ?! Hell yes - Gamestop just got a new customer. I've seen some gameplay from Nelson and I can honestly say I'm looking forward to a Wii game again. Still have to get both Galaxy 2 and Skyward Sword at some point. Looking forward to April.

Perhaps I misspoke. I was trying to say that RPGs do not have to prioritize gameplay as much, so if that's the weak link in the Xenoblade Chronicles chain I think I can cope. I wasn't trying to insinuate that there's not a detectable gradient of quality within the genre.
You're right about the button mashing, though... I have many fond memories of not just mashing the A button just to get through the damn fights playing various Final Fantasy. It was probably one out of every 8 or 9 fights …

Since the localization for North America just got confirmed, I can safely say this may be one of the last Wii games I buy. I'm excited, I haven't played a good JRPG in quite a while.
I'll be curious to see how bad the friendly AI is. The last game I played with little-to-no-control over the friendlies was Tales of Symphonia, where I actually was shockingly content with that AI other than the fact that it didn't use items.
But RPGs (especially more traditional ones) have never been the …
