Crystalis Review comment

Ah - one of my old favorites - and, of course, one of the games I so egregiously sold in my rush to get a next-gen console when I was too young to know any better. Good to know it still has merit in this day and age.

Wait 6mo and they will knock 5 bucks off. I bet i get 20+ hours of enjoyment out of what lunch costs for the week. Thats a bargain! And its less money than i paid for ff2 on snes almost 20 years ago. Trust me its worth it

I know you think tablet gaming is weak, but Final Fantasy Dimensions for tablet is a pretty damn good throwback RPG game!

I'm hoping Pandora's Tower becomes available for download on the WiiU. I just can't hack my Wii.

You'll be happy to know I ordered The Last Story today - it may be awhile before I get around to it, but if it's one of the last great games for the Wii, I'm not going to pass it up.

Cthulhu Saves the World Review comment

Now I'm excited to play this - I'm a big fan of H.P. Lovecraft and old-school RPGS - so I should hopefully get all the references. I'm almost finished with The Walking Dead (review up soon) - mayhap I'll pop this in next. And you're right - it's a sad world in which a $1.50 can trump just about anything else out there.

Yes, i did get ahold of Pandora's Tower but in my hands i found it to be vastly inferior to Xenoblade and The Last Story. So I'm pretty well officially done with the Wii for now.. occasionally i turn it on, but it's pretty much over. I'm using my new tablet for most of my games now... and even that is mostly retro gaming with emulators

As for Nier, there are really only three dungeons: the Lost Shrine, the Ruins and the Thieves Hideout in the desert. They are not random - so instead of running around the overworld killing things, you're running around halls killings things.

The Last Story Review comment

That was an incredibly long review, I think the game was shorter, but it was a very good game. I was fine with its length due to its quality. Different than anything i'd ever played. Overall enjoyable, sadly I doubt many people experience due to the late release when the Wii is all but dead.

Usually I'd agree on the random dungeons thing, but for a game like Diablo, where you're supposed to play through it multiple times (either with different characters or on different difficulties) having everything static would just get boring.
