Welcome back to another installment of the MeltedJoystick Review Round-Up. Here’s what our staff has reviewed since last time:
Nelson’s Reviews:
This long, cold, lonely Winter was good to me, as I was able to play through a sizeable portion of my backlog (yet it hasn’t really gotten any smaller…). I was quite pleased to be able to hand out two perfect scores and one almost-perfect score this quarter (along with a variety of other, lower numbers). Running into excellent titles like these is what keeps me gaming even when overwhelming amounts of crap are flooding the market.
“Hyrule Warriors” – 3/5
“Fallout 2” – 4/5
“BioShock Infinite” – 5/5
“Reus” – 2.5/5
“Shadowgate: 25th Anniversary Remaster” – 4.5/5
“Super Smash Bros. for WiiU” – 3.5/5
“Dust: An Elysian Tail” – 5/5
“Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams” – 2.5/5
“The Cave” – 4/5
“Millennium: A New Hope” – 4/5
“From Dust” – 2/5
“BioShock 2” – 3.5/5
Chris’ Reviews:
Chris really didn’t get much alone time with his backlog. Instead, he simply came along for the ride with a slew of co-op experiences. He also christened his new PS4 with… a game that he could have played on any other platform (but he insisted that the PS3 version is “worse” and that his PC isn’t good enough to run the Steam version).
“Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition” – 4.5/5
“Hyrule Warriors” – 3.5/5
“Super Smash Bros. for WiiU” – 3.5/5
“Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor” – 4/5
“The Cave” – 4/5
Featured User Review:
This quarter, the battle for Featured User Review came down to a vicious face-off between frequent winner, Jonzor, and last month’s new blood and runner-up, Edge-Vi. In the end, Jonzor won out with his spectacular discussion of “Bravely Default” for the 3DS. Jonzor’s words almost convinced me that I needed to buy a New 3DS XL on the spot, but by sheer force of will (powered by hatred, that most potent of fuels) I have managed to resist, and will continue to wait until Square Enix surfaces from their own anus for another breath of air and hopefully ports some of their 3DS games to the WiiU (which is still desperately lacking in third-party exclusives).
Congratulations, Jonzor! It was a close race this quarter, and I look forward to reading more great user-created reviews again in the coming months.

I humbly accept the honor, but I'm saddened my Awesomenauts review wasn't deemed AWESOME enough to take home the crown.
