Oh, the memories of working up the ranks and I say forget the remake - The Sandman can't compare to Iron Mike! I don't know how far I would get today, but back in the day I was a machine. Little Mac rocks and don't forget to Join the Nintendo Fun Club Today!

From Glass Joe to Sodapopinski, this game is incredible. Requiring lighting fast reflexes and strategy to beat virtually every box made this game great. Though "Punch Out!!" is virtually the same game, there is only one Mike Tyson. If you've beat him, you love this game. This should be in your video game collection!

Bring It On Mike!

Having the chance the take on Mike Tyson at the end is what puts this game over the top. The second version with Mr. Dream just isn't the same even though you're fighting basically the same guy. You fight a bunch of different guys, all with different characteristics. You're tiny, over matched, and to win gives you a sense of accomplishment.
Beating Iron Mike is almost impossible, I only did once and it was because I had enough points and not by knockout. A true classic, boxing was never so fun.

I know I got to Tyson (or Sandman depending on the version) but I don't think I actually ever beat him and certainly not in the first round. Now if you can back up your claim with video proof... just kidding, I think that's a pretty impressive feat.
