Work your way through mazes, hack and slash through dozens of monsters, find keys, and that's it. But let's face it, that's all Gauntlet was ever about. The RPG style levelling up is a welcome addition and it's a mildly entertaining bit of mindless fun in short doses.

Solid Multi-player Action

A great game play with a group of friends. Nothing special here, a basic beat 'em up, hack 'n slash type game where you go through a few dozen levels killing as much as you can. You can level up your characters, getting more health and upgrading your weapon so you can kill things faster. The special move helps wipe out a large group quickly. This one isn't hard and probably good since you should play this with a group of people. The hardest thing is finding all the rune stones so you can reach the final boss, but it does tell you when you miss one.
