Synopsis: Taking place in 1793, players are put into the shoes of Louis de Richet, member of a powerful secret society who finds himself on the private island off the shores of England by the mysterious Lord Mortimer. But the guest list, including Napoleon Bonaparte and the president of the newly-formed nation of America, George Washington, contains a criminal - for Richet's mother has gone missing, and he soon finds everyone has an agenda. The Council is episodic in nature, but goes beyond a typical narrative adventure. Richet will use the game's Social Influence system to interact with the other characters - and the skills he develops, along with the decisions he makes, will have a lasting impact on the end game - and even the history of the world.
