The 3D modelled graphics were considered cutting edge at the time and they have aged pretty well, but underneath it's just a pretty standard platform game that's too free and easy with its extra lives to be genuinely challenging. Good, but not great.

A fun if not quite classic platformer. This always felt more cartoon-like to me, even though it parts of it were tough enough. I still prefer Mario but this was a fun enough diversion at the time.

Fun, But Not Spectacular

This game must have been more popular than what I think of it since there were 2 sequels of this made on the SNES. Don't get me wrong, it is a fun game, very Mario like with bananas instead of coins. But, there are no fire balls and the levels consisted more of jumping than anything else. The graphics were pretty good for when it was made, maybe that's why it was so popular.
I like this game, but Mario is much better.
