A SNES Classic Displaced in Time and Space

“Shantae: Risky’s Revenge” (“SRR”) is a direct sequel to the Game Boy Color title, “Shantae” that started a new franchise. Unfortunately, I was never able to find a copy of the GBC game way back in 2002 when it was new, and haven’t gotten around to emulating it. Of course, back in 2002 when developer WayForward first released the game, cute, colorful 2D platformers weren’t the rarity that they would eventually become. Thus when a sequel was released, it got my attention… but as a DS game and a sequel to a title I’d missed, my interest could only go so far.
