Synopsis: Facing a bout of writer's block, best-selling author Alan Wake, along with his wife Alice, plan a vacation to the town of Bright Springs. Yet soon after arriving at their cabin on an island in Cauldron Lake, Alice is taken. Although Alan attempts to save her, he wakes up a week later after a car accident with no memory of the previous week. Fighting creatures made of shadow and finding pages of a manuscript he doesn't remember writing, Alan must piece together the past week, find Alice and clear his name.
