"Mass Effect: Andromeda"

Probably the best example of the genre, the Mass Effect games were a grand space opera that nigh on perfectly blended shooting, RPG style exploration and story telling. Andromeda continues in the same vein but starts from scratch in a new galaxy with a new story arc and new set of characters, As such it doesn't have the same immersive feel of the previous two instalments and the story and characterisation is not as rich. Having said all that, it's still an extremely playable and fun space-bound adventure...it just doesn't have the je ne sais quoi that marked the last two outings.
