The best NES RPG in my opinion. I played many hours when I was a kid. The series lives on and Dragon Warrior IV is supposed to be the best out of them, but I have never played it. If you like old-school RPGs, you have to play this game.

Although I played the heck out of this when it came out, it hasn't aged as well as other RPGs. The main reason is it takes a lot of grinding, especially early on, to get anywhere. It's also quite short, but for an initial run it isn't so bad. This is one series that definitely got better as it went on.
