The Darius games have always been overshadowed by the likes of R-Type and Gradius - mainly because they were never as good - but this instalment looks particularly nice and is not as unforgivingly difficult as some of the others. Darius 2 is also available on the Saturn and is also pretty good but Gaiden edges it.
