I would like to start by admitting that I was the instigator in making the MeltedJoystick crew play through this game. It was an impulse buy backed by a lack of research and a brief moment during which my normally healthy cynicism was impeded by a bout of brain-clouding optimism. “Wanderlust: Rebirth” was developed over the course of 5 years by two guys with a copy of Game Maker who call themselves Yeti Trunk (as in treasure chest, not elephant nose), working on it in their spare time. Should Never Have Been Born at All

I don't even feel like writing a regular review for this game, so let's just be blunt - this fails pretty much all across the board. Other than the retro graphic feel, the game is mess - unless you like grinding for days upon days - good luck affording a decent weapon or armor. The crafting system is a mess, the characters are broken, the combat is tedious, the level system inconsistent and at certain times it's pretty much a given you're going to die (luckily to can respawn - but it penalizes you).
We couldn't even beat the last boss - not even with help - because our levels and equipment were crap - and he uses a variety of cheap moves. At least the game never crashed on us (unlike some others I could mention *cough* Torchlight II *cough*) but the game is so simple, it doesn't take …
