The Play Control Got To Me

I, much like a bunch of other Castlevania fans, played Symphony of the Night before I played this game. I felt this hurt my opinion of this one. It's much like the playstation version, with maps, experience and upgrades. You also have various magic abilities that increased in game play action value. However, the play control of the hero was like the first Castlevania and not like Symphony of the Night, which made it frustrating for me.
If I had played this one first, I think I would have enjoyed this one a lot more. Still a solid game, though.
